FILE SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ENGINEER

  1. Independently take on a variety of tasks to advance the file system management on a network storage device.
  2. Sometimes work on multiple projects in parallel. depending on priorities.
  3. Prior expertise in some of the below areas will be beneficial.
  4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include:
    1. Automatic quota management between multiple clients.
    2. File/directory ownership and permissions management for data integrity checking
    3. Filesystem/drive encryption and key management.
  5. PRIORITY 1 SKILLS include:
    1. Storage experience.
    2. Python or C.
    3. (or convince us to use Go or Rust or a better filesystem Mgmt.)
  6. PRIORITY 2 SKILLS (preferred but not required) include:
    1. OpenWRT
    2. LuCI
    3. Encryption
    4. Cryptographic hashing
    5. Linux filesystem
    6. SAMBA network filesystem protocol
    7. NFS network filesystem protocol
    8. TimeMachine storage format
